Bombers Add Three to Practice Roster

WINNIPEG, MB., July 4, 2016 –   The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the addition of National fullback/defensive lineman James Tuck to the roster. National linebacker Herve Tonye-Tonye and National offensive lineman T-Dre Player have also been added to the practice roster.

Tuck (6-0, 230, York, June 12, 1990 in Aurora, Ont.) spent the past two seasons, and one game in 2016, with the Alouettes. Over that span he suited up for 15 games, pitching in on special teams with nine tackles. Tuck has shown versatility over his career, spending time at fullback, linebacker, and defensive line.

Player (6-6, 305, Northwestern State, February 4, 1992 in Winnipeg, MB) was originally selected 12th overall by the BC Lions in the 2014 CFL Draft. Player started 11 games, playing in 18 total, through two seasons with the Lions.

Tonye-Tonye (5-11, 225, Northern Colorado, May 15, 1988 in Yaounde, Cameroon) has spent the past four seasons with the Toronto Argonauts after being selected 24th overall in the 2012 CFL Draft. A veteran of 40 CFL games,  he played in all 18 games with Toronto last season, registering 13 special teams tackles and two forced fumbles.
