WINNIPEG, MB., October 22, 2015 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the addition of International quarterback Bryan Bennett to the practice roster.
Bennett (6’2, 210, Southeast Louisiana, March 6, 1992 in Tarzana, CA) played two seasons at Oregon (2011-2012), seeing spot duty behind starter Marcus Mariota. He then transferred to Southeast Louisiana for his final two seasons. Bennett finished his NCAA career with 6,102 passing yards and 48 touchdowns, while also rushing for 2,080 yards. He was a Walter Payton Finalist in 2013, and named Southland Conference Player of the Year. Bennett was most recently with the Indianapolis Colts through their 2015 training camp.
The club also released running back B.J. Catalon from the practice roster.
