The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have inked import quarterbacks Max Hall and Chase Clement. As per team policy, details of the agreements are not disclosed.

Hall (6-1, 205, BYU, DOB: October 1, 1985 in Mesa, Arizona) cracked the Arizona Cardinals roster as an undrafted free agent in 2010 and appeared in six games that season – including three starts –completing 39 of his 78 pass attempts for 370 yards and a touchdown.  In his first start, Hall helped the Cardinals defeat the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints, completing 17 of 27 passes for 168 yards in a 30-20 victory.  At BYU, Hall was a three-time All-Mountain West Conference quarterback while leading the Cougar offence and becoming the school’s all-time winningest quarterback with 32 victories while amassing 11,365 passing yards and 94 touchdowns.  Last season, Hall joined the coaching staff at BYU and became a student assistant.

Clement (6-1, 210, Rice, DOB: June 11, 1986 in San Antonio, Texas) saw action in all four years at Rice and finished his collegiate career with several Conference USA records including career touchdowns (99 passes, 25 rushes and one receiving) and holds the NCAA Division I FBS record for career touchdowns between a quarterback and receiver tandem with 51 that he threw to Jarett Dillard.  Clement threw for 9,785 yards in four seasons and holds numerous school, conference and NCAA records.  As a senior, he was an All C-USA First Team selection and C-USA MVP after throwing for 4,119 yards and 44 touchdowns against just seven interceptions.  He is the only quarterback in NCAA history to record at least 300 passing yards and 100 rushing yards in two consecutive games.  Upon graduation, Clement spent time with the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League where he was named MVP of the 2010 UFL Championship game.

With the addition of these two players, the Blue Bombers now have four quarterbacks under contract, including veteran Buck Pierce, and fourth-year Blue Bomber Justin Goltz.

“We’re very excited to add these two young quarterbacks to our roster. Both of these men excelled at the collegiate level and have experience in the professional ranks as well, and we look forward to watching them both compete for roster spots in training camp,” said Vice-President and General Manager Joe Mack
