Doug Brown Wins The Reebok-CFL Best Move Competition

Montreal, November 27, 2009 – Reebok Canada is happy to announce that Doug Brown, Defensive Lineman for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, is the winner of the 2009 Reebok-CFL Best Move Competition. Doug Brown received the Reebok-CFL Best Move trophy yesterday evening during the Gibson’s Finest CFL Player Awards Show.

“Its always an honor to be recognized for what you do and how you do it,” said Doug Brown about winning the award. “I’d like to seize this opportunity to thank all the fans who voted for me week after week, as well as Reebok Canada and the CFL for putting together a competition that highlights the best Canadian football has to offer.”

Doug Brown was up against Weston Dressler, Wide Receiver for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the final leg of the competition. Over 30 000 votes for Doug Brown helped him claim the best move of the year.

Doug Brown’s move was set to impress. It showcased Brown sacking Hamilton Tiger-Cats Quarterback Richie Williams. Following the move, Brown stands-up and, with his 6’8″ – 290 lbs frame, towers over a beaten Williams. This move can still be viewed on the official site of the competition at www.reebokfootball.ca.

The Competition:
The competition showcased 16 CFL players, each presenting their best move. Every week, Canadians had the opportunity to vote on the best move of their choice. In addition, cool trivia, downloads, player profiles and interviews were available on the competition website. Stay tuned for the 2010 edition of the competition.
